Cartier has just launched a new season of Sur Naturel high-end jewelry series, still drawing inspiration from nature. The new work has two themes-"Cheetah Stripes" shows the impact of black and white; "Crocodile Scales" uses mosaic patterns to interpret the color gradients in nature.
"Cheetah Stripes" jewellery is made of white gold, alternately using pavé diamonds and cambered onyx to create abstract geometric patterns. The biggest highlight is the arc-shaped emerald inlaid with large grains as the main stone, showing a full dark green hue, which is in sharp contrast with the black and white markings.
This group of jewels consists of 6 pieces in total, of which 2 rings are inlaid with Cartier’s unique "Fur setting" technique, and are fixed on the edge of the onyx with fine platinum prongs, allowing irregular gem cuts to naturally blend into the cheetah pattern. , To maximize the brilliance of gems.
The "crocodile scale pattern" jewelry is made of rose gold and mimics the three-dimensional undulating scale pattern through mosaic patterns. The designer used rose gold to create square chain links of different sizes, matched with diamonds and custom-cut red coral and gray mother-of-pearl.
